Peter Hepworth

Ghosts

There she was, so small and so fine
She took the breath from my life.
In the hazy light
Drawn from crystal wonderness
She broke down and cried
Sayin everything was to hard
The world was too far

I sat down beside her three towns away
And I thought of love like I'd heard her pray
In a place where she would want to stay...

...Herself belong where she was strong
And every day, and everyday
A new day

Where a ship, would sail her by
To that place , where she could fly
And the years of dreams reflect in her eyes
And a smile that the angels could never deny
And her hand would be in mine

But she broke the room
Tore up herself and threw it down
Her back towards her sun nowhere left to run

SINGER/SONG WRITER

There's a door left open down the street
Neon lights and cigarettes the shadowing of silhouettes
Keeping me warm, keeping me warm

Where's the ship
To sail her by
To the place where she can fly
And the years of dreams reflect in her eyes
And a smile that angels could never let die
And her hand would be in mine
And her hand would be in mine
